Thanks to Seth's parents, we were able to buy a beautiful crib this weekend. Since we both had Monday off, we had some time to put the crib together. Now we have a place to lay our beautiful baby to be. The crib took about an hour or so to put together. I read the directions and Seth screwed everything together. He's going to make a great daddy soon :)
Seth and I went to New Smyrna Beach on the eastern side of Florida to hang with friends who had rented a condo for the Memorial Day weekend. Seth had his second opportunity to try surfing. He was able to get standing on the board a few times but by the time he was up, the wave had already broke. Needless to say he got beat around quite a bit by the waves but gained some confidence in his surfing abilities. You go honey!
Our friends from church put on a baby shower for Seth and I. They did a "couples" shower since most of our friends here are married. We had so much fun! The shower was held at Gracie's Backporch Cafe in Tavares. Very cute cafe and they serve good food! We played 3 games: 1) We had to figure out what candy bar was melted in the diaper -- this was so gross and hilarious all at the same time 2) Baby pictionary -- Girls vs. Boys -- of course the girls won! 3) Seth got to chug water from a bottle. He didn't win but it was sure fun watching him try.
This is me as of Friday, April 25th. Had my hair done today (I love it!) and felt it was time to show you how baby is doing. She's moving around LOTS! There are moments that she feels like she's lying horizontal in my tummy because I'll feel a body part on one side and a kick on the other. It's quite fun. I'm starting to have dreams about her trying to get out of my tummy - thru my belly button! Weird I know. One night this week I had a dream that Seth was too busy working to come to the hospital when I went into labor. When I told him this, he assured me that he'd jump out of the airplane if he found out I was in labor. We decided that jumping out of the plane wouldn't be as effective as landing first, then jumping. Enjoy the pics!
We celebrated Seth's 29th birthday at our apartment with friends on Saturday, April 12. His actual birthday is April 13th but I had to go out of town for work that evening. We had a bunch of friends over for pizza and carrot cake with LOTS of frosting (per Seth's request). In the grocery store I found plastic airplanes to decorate the cake with. Very appropriate I think :) He's looking great for being almost 30.
